This hotline is available 24 hours a day and will provide up-to-date information about the status of collection schedules. • Residential and commercial sanitation routes will continue normal operations through Wednesday, Sept. 28. • Beginning Thursday, Sept. 29 all routes will be suspended due to the impending storm. • Commercial routes will resume on Friday, Sept. 30. The latest update from the Marion County Emergency Management office, sandbags will be available at the in multiple locations, the closest to our location is Tuscawilla Park (Reilly Arts Center). Now is the time to make sure you have checked your hurricane supplies, make sure you have water, food and medicine. Take a look around your house and see what you need to secured.EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ANNOUNCES SANDBAG LOCATIONS, INFORMATION LINEThe Marion County Emergency Management Operations Center is currently monitoring Hurricane Ian and has announced nine sandbag locations within Marion County. These locations will be operational until 7:00 p.m. today. They will reopen Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and continue until operations are shut down.
